Diagnostic Screening Exam for Venous Disease Diagnosis at VSA
Jeffrey Alpern, D.O. of VSA is one of a handful of surgeons worldwide to use laser ablation vascular surgery techniques and radio frequency treatment techniques for the treatment of varicose veins, chronic venous insufficiency and venous stasis leg ulcers. Treatment begins with accurate diagnosis obtained during a comprehensive screening exam and ultrasound scan performed during the first appointment.
Whether you have residual problems after previous vein treatment, prominent twisted varicose veins, spider veins, leg pain, difficulty walking or standing and/or your suffer exhaustion from restless legs at night, this screening exam can be the answer to your prayers.
What to Expect During your Screening Exam
Your venous screening exam will consist of a medical history, physical exam and venous ultrasound – all performed by Dr. Alpern himself. He will want to know your chief complaints and reason for seeking treatment. You will be asked to provide insurance and/or Medicare information prior to your screen in the event that venous disease is found to be present.
