After many years of clinical teaching and experience in the field of cardiovascular medicine, Dr. Jeffrey Alpern founded Vein Specialists of Arizona (VSA) to meet the needs of large numbers of people in Arizona who are in need of safe and effective vein treatment. The mission of VSA is to provide safe, effective and appropriate treatment of vein diseases through the least invasive and most effective vascular surgery procedures. Whether for aesthetic spider vein or varicose vein treatment or for curing serious chronic venous insufficiency and venous stasis leg ulcers, patients can feel confident knowing they are getting proper evaluation, accurate diagnosis and state-of-the art treatments that best meets their needs.

Vein Specialists of Arizona raises the bar for state-of-the-art treatment of vein diseases. Patients coming for aesthetic spider vein and varicose vein treatment are evaluated for signs of underlying venous disease before undergoing cosmetic laser spider vein procedures, sclerotherapy and or microphlebectomy. When indicated, patients undergo a diagnostic evaluation to determine if incompetent valves are present in deeper veins that are also in need of correction.  This assures that patients coming for cosmetic and medical complaints receive the highest level of care for producing a safe and effective vein treatment solution.
